You manifest your own reality by what you think, what you say and what you expect.
You can sit by as a passive spectator of life and let it just ‘happen to you’ and not expect too much.
You can be a proactive instigator, dictate your own outcomes, expect much and ‘make life happen’
The secret to success and reaching your potential is…..
First – you must start thinking positively about what you want and how you CAN and WILL get it. Speak out loud those positive things, as if they already exist (even when you are alone) and constantly make success statements that start with “I can” I will” “I do” “I have”.
Eliminate statements that start with “I can’t” “I won’t” “I never” and especially NEVER use “I might”. “I might” are the most half-hearted, non-committal 2 words on the face of the earth, they deceive us, stall us and get us nowhere.
Don’t settle for average, but rather, expect amazing abundance, tell yourself you deserve it, you want it and that is exactly what you will get.
Second – surround yourself with successful, positive, inspiring, motivated people and limit the time you spend around the negative, unmotivated ones (the people who are constantly talking about everything that is wrong, or could go wrong, they usually talk about everybody else’s problems and leave you feeling drained after spending time with them). I’m not saying ditch all of your less than upbeat friends, just limit the time you spend with them, especially while practicing and strengthening your new thought habits.
You manifest your own reality by monitoring very carefully the thoughts you allow to enter your mind and just as importantly, what comes out of your mouth.
Are your words positive, productive, hopeful, expectant? Or are they negative, woeful and focused on everything that is wrong in the world? The worst outcomes, all the problems or the things that might go wrong for you?
You get to choose!
Choose to talk about what is good, lovely, beautiful, beneficial and positive. Try to limit talking about your problems, other peoples problems and the worlds problems.
Try it and see what happens. It is quite amazing.
Watch what you think. Be on constant guard for any negative gremlins and catch them before they progresses to your feelings. Replace them with thoughts of the positive, successful version of your reality.
Your thoughts become your feelings, your feelings become your actions, your actions become your habits and that forms your results, your reality.
Shorthand – your thoughts will determine your results.
For example; when you want to try something new and all you are thinking of are the reasons not to do it and how you might fail, STOP! Now replace those thoughts with all the reasons you should do it. What are the benefits to you? What wonderful things might you learn if you fail? Think how good you will feel just for trying and just think, what if you don’t fail!
“If you think you can, or think you can’t, you are right”
– Success or failure happens in your mind, before you even try, it is already determined by what you think.
– Change the way you think and speak and change your life
Reflect and respond
What would you love to do, or achieve. This could be to do with any of the key areas of your life, work, recreation, finances, or volunteering, etc.
Write down your goals, as many or few as you like. remember – DREAM BIG!
Now write a list of all the reasons you can’t start or achieve each one, (you think these are reasons but they are usually only excuses that our fears create to prevent us from getting there).
Now write a list of all the reasons you CAN and want to achieve it, include all of the benefits you foresee, to yourself and others.
Now tear up and throw away the negatives and focus your thoughts and plans and energy on the positives, speak them out loud and regularly.
What is the first small step you need to take to get there?
Now go and do it!
